Rush Coaches? Worth it?

A girl on my hall hired a rush coach for $10k and all she prefed SK, ZTA, and KD.

A rush coach can be worth it but your outcomes are going to depend on the attributes you have going into rush.

For example: if you don't have any connections to girls in srats at UVA, but have the combination of good academics/upper class – wealthy/conventionally attractive, a coach might help you breakthrough and get noticed.

Or: If you have attributes that make you interesting to srats and are an introvert- a coach can help with conversation, with getting noticed in a positive way, and with presenting your best self.

I fell into one of these categories and used to coached and it definitely help me get the outcome I was looking for.

it's not that deep, save ur money and focus on making genuine connection with people

At UVa it's worth it if you have the $. For every girl who came in knowing no one and had a great rush, there's 100+ who didn't.

Do not get a coach! they are a waste of money! if a sorority only wants you because a rush coach basically created your whole MO why would you want to join them?? Join somewhere you can be yourself and enjoy the people around you

You’re wrong if you think that a rush coach is supposed to have contacts at every house to help you get a bid somewhere. That’s not the point. A coach is there to help understand how rush works and do your best with it. It makes a difference in that regard, esp if yourself are connected or have friends already in sororities or have other advantages like rush dates, etc. I’m not a rush coach BTW.
