Sorority Bid Day Quota

by: confused

I'm so confused... How do some top sororities end up with pledge classes over 60 and others barely break 40? Like how does that even happen and why doesn't Panhellenic manage that better?

I think schools like tech have an even quota for all pledge classes... just doesn't make sense.

A lot of it comes down to luck and where the friend groups want to go

The formula is the number of pnm's signing cards after pref divided by the number of sororities. It's the same quota for all sororities. Panhellenic could support the sororities that don't rush as well by instituting a variable quota, restricting the numbers for stronger recruiting sororities and increasing the quota for the others to build them up. Variable quota is not permanent, just a year or two thing.
