Should I join 128 (fiji)?
by: Club 128I'm a first year, and my friends and I are all dirty rushing and really like Club 128. But it's off campus. wondering how much of a difference this really makes considering they're on the madbowl, and all 5 of the parties I've been too have been packed to the brim. Plus I was looking at greek rank and it had a better reputation than I thought. What do you think?

Fiji is the same type of stereotype as Sig Chi and Phi Psi. Not southern, not pretentious but fratty and likes to party. Just like how Zete, Sae, Ksig are southern. However, of those three, Phi Psi clears both of them. Sig Chi can't have darties or late nights the way fiji or phi psi does, they have to plan them out and invite a bunch of people or it'll flop cuz of location. Sig Chi has better srat relations though. Fiji used to have better relations but doesnt anymore. I think Sig Chi and 128 are similar but I'd but sig chi slightly ahead due to being on campus and srat relations. However, with that being said it's way better than being in some mid frat like Sammy beta pika etc.If you don't get a bid from a "better" frat (sae, phi psi, Elmo hall zete dke) then 128 is fine. if ur between ksig, chi phi, beta, snu, sammy, pika, I'd say it's very even all around. Ksig is prob "better" not by much, and same with chi phi although sig chi has surpassed them. 128 clears the rest from beta down. Moral of the story is if u r between 128 and beta/snu (or worse), go 128 (although i dont know their pledge process post-ban). However, most important is that you fit in with the guys or else ur gonna have a miserable time wherever you are. I have friends in beta, snu, phi psi who all got bids from fiji and went other ways due to the uncertainty of last year's rush (no dirty rush, no events, no social schedule). Now that it's back to normal, they all regret it.

I mean join if u want. I agree with everything they said it’s better than any mid ass frat. However, just remember, it’s not a frat. They shouldn’t even be on Greek rank. My friend in 128 has access to the fiji LinkedIn group and connections tho and he’s in the new 128 PC and was never a “fiji”, so I guess u still get all the connects. It’s just not a frat remember that, even if it’s on the madbowl

Know some guys in Fiji’s new PC who declined Ksig and chi phi and went fiji. 2 of them because the hazing is easier, and one of them because he only had Ksig and Fiji left and he thought ksig was squid. Easier hazing is def a plus I guess… maybe not in the long run tho lmao

Don’t let Fuji being off campus stop u from joining. If ur joining some beater ass frat like theta chi or sum just go fiji lol u will have a way better experience. It’s just beta kids hating on Greek rank cuz they’re beta kids lmao they just flop and so they hate on the other houses cuz they’re mid

The main thing is their hazing is easy so join if that’s a factor for u. It’s better than 70-80% of frats. Idk what difference being off campus makes. Like KA there’s no point of joining cuz they’re mid, but cuz fiji is actually good, and used to be top (bottom
Of upper mid now or top of mid) it’s actually worth.

What benefits are there I feel like madbowl is the biggest benefit lol, and maybe liability. Obv their hazing is easier so liability is less of a factor but for parties it still is. And they get all the fiji connections. Frats r for friends and parties and they have a good setup but lmk the other benefits I genuinely wanna know as I’m a second-year rushee with a couple friends in fiji
