Top house scouting?
by: rdvI've always heard that houses like DKE/Elmo/Hall have their PCs picked out even before the first years arrive. Is this true, and if so how does this work? On what basis are kids "recruited", so to speak?

I already go here and have no interest in actually rushing these places I was just curious as to how they worked.

lots of ppl say money and that plays a role but a bigger part is connections and by far the biggest part is personality despite what people will tell you on this site. there are many examples of kids with money and connections who get dropped everywhere because theyre a holes

I've heard it the other way - that these places are usually filled with douchebags that have never heard the word "no" in their lives. In my (limited) interactions with these people that seems to be true although it's a small sample size.

Well I mean those kids are obviously rich, but it's not like there's a list of incoming students from loaded families? Or maybe there is and I'm just unaware of it.
