Frat prospects for OOS transfer

by: Serious question

Transferring in the Fall from OOS, no (current) connections to UVA Greek life. Some mutual friends from other schools around my area in a couple “top/upper mid” fraternities, but don’t even know them.

What’s the realistic likelihood of pledging as a third year transfer. Not a dweeb, lot of hs friends in Greek life at other schools but my school didn’t have a scene.

If I’m someone who would’ve pledged and could’ve gotten in a “good” frat as a first year but I’m transferring in as a third year, is it even worth rushing?

Edit: those hs friends are in “top” frats at their schools, that’s my scene just I know fraternities want you to be active all 4 years.
