only the top three KAT/DDD/KKG REALLY dirty rush—as in if you don’t already have connections to girls in these sororities you likely will not get a bid. Aphi definitely dirty rushes as well but they really only care about looks so if you’re hot you have a good chance. DG/DZ dirty rush a bit as well but this doesn’t really stand in the way of the bid process. Not sure about pi phi

I know brothers in upper mid and mid tier frats, but haven't dirty rushed there. Is that fine?

Depends on how well you “know” these guys, dirty rushing is generally a huge part of upper mid fraternity recruitment, less so for the true middle tier guys so it’s not impossible but definitely harder

For upper mid / mid if you haven’t dirty rushed, you’re going to have to try hard. Having brothers that know you will get you invited back to first round, but not much further on its own.
To get a bid you’ll have to do lots of networking with brothers, and other potential first years (especially if you can figure out which first years DID dirty rush the frat). Every time you are at an event for the frat your goal should be to make a positive impression on as many brothers as you can. Kinda simple as that. If you’re fun to be around they’ll want to have you back.
