Frat Rush Tips for this Spring

by:

I wasn't really heavily dirty rushed by frats, but I was able to go to some of these events and have a really good time. I don't really have too many people to talk to about rush, so if there are any older kids who have tips or stories about what their experience was like, I would really appreciate it.

Since open house is online, should I try to go for more houses than I would if it was in person?

If you don’t make yourself noticed than older guys won’t notice you... simple as that. Don’t go out of your way to be someone you’re not, but try and get out of your comfort zone and talk with people you may not know. A bright personality can take you a long way. Also if you want to get later round invites from a specific frat you should make an appearance to most of their events, even if it’s only for a little. Enjoy the fun, chaotic process of rush and try to show appreciation to each person who invites you - no matter the “tier” of the frat.

Anything we should/shouldn't talk about with the brothers?

If you rush fiji, definitely ask about their dance moves like the elephant walk.

If we don't really know the person we're talking with too well, is it fine to start off with small talk/basic topics before moving onto stuff that'll make us stand out?
