You know not every sorority does informal right? You’re much better off doing formal rush if you want to find a house for you. Then if it doesn’t work out, you can consider informal. Plus it’s harder to get a bid as a sophomore, not gonna lie.

You talk to so many more people through formal rush and can figure out who you click with. Online rush isn’t based off of looking at instagrams lol

Also the # of sororities that do informal rush is more limited and is based off the size of their pledge classes. You usually have to know people in chapters to even be considered

I hope your rush coach is telling you that this is a bad strategy. Why not to go through formal rush, the one event where all srats participate and see what happens? If you wait for informal where you will be a sophomore and not have as many choices and options of srats. Top house rarely do informal and if they do, it’s for girls they already know.

Top tiers have it the easiest. Probably a lot harder for PNMs to see differences btw midtiers and btw mid and lower
