Decisions

If you don't like your bid can you just not accept it?? You could then do COB for the other sorority you matched with during prefs. And sorority #1 you turned down then can offer that bid to another PNM.

Do second and third years get COBs or is it mostly only first years?

Do most girls who dropped get snap bids?

No they don’t. A few will but the majority won’t

I think some girls get swayed by the excitement of bid day and don’t think about being in a house long term. Kind of like a bride focusing on the wedding day instead of the marriage. Accepting a bid from a house you’re not feeling great about can be an expensive mistake. There is nothing wrong with waiting, many girls find a home after formal recruitment.

I decided to drop out of rush yesterday because my favorite houses didn’t invite me back :(
I know a girl in one of my top two really well, does that mean I may have a chance in getting a COB if I make it known to her that I’m interested in her sorority?

If she couldn’t help you during recruitment don’t count on her help afterwards

Refusing a bid on bid day is VERY bad form and you will not be eligible for COB. Additionally when recruitment occurs next year the srats will all know what you did and you’ll probably be dropped by a lot of houses. Word travels fast when girls do something like this.
