How likely is it to get dropped after house tours?

The more competitive houses will be doing a lot of cutting before pref, that’s how the process works. I have known many girls who absolutely loved a srat by the house tour round and were confident the feeling was mutual, only to be dropped by that srat after that round. A lot of times it isn’t personal, they have to cut a certain number of PNMs and if you aren’t toward the top of a srat’s list you’re in jeopardy of getting dropped.

it’s kind of impossible to say since every house has a different round where they make their biggest cuts and how well they do in rush varies year to year. the best advice is to get excited for ALL the srats you go to for house tours and whoever you get for prefs, even if it wasn’t your first choice, you will still get amazing friendships and social and leadership opportunities. almost every srat girl had a house the loved during rush they got dropped from, it’s just the name of the game, but you don’t hear about that bc once you join wherever you get a bid you’ll be so swept up in all the new member socials and having so much fun you’ll realize how meaningless a specific house versus just the fun of being in greek life

your pichi will explain it but the short answer is if you put 2 houses you’re guaranteed a bid at one of 2, if you only put one you’re not guaranteed a bid from them

Yea, this is correct. I highly recommend putting down 2. You never know and even the mid and lower tiers seem to be doing well this year and have had a lot of great girls come back so the cuts will be more competitive than usual for them.
