by: PhilI was wondering if SPE is st ill on campus? I heard the former chapters alum own the house but they had a disagreement with SPE HQ when their HQ forced them to shut down. What has been SPE's traditional reputation on campus? I think past reputation is pretty important. I'm only asking because I am thinking about joining the colony.

my friend in kappa told me kappa is supposed to live in their house next year while the KKG house gets renovated. then spe will move back in when they’re out, assuming they’ve got enough of a colony started. impossible to say what the colony is gonna look like as of now. but the house is sick and has prime location. biggest house on mad bowl too sucks it’s been closed

living in that location only gonna help kappa go up plus finally getting a nicer renovated house. will be interesting to see how SPE does when they come back but the house already gives them a leg up

they were crazy back in the day according to ppl who were here before they got kicked. any new frat/srat on any campus always has to start from the bottom but w their house and past rep they shouldn’t have a hard time getting kids. sig ep is huge nationally so that helps too

why wouldn’t they live in the house? lmao a ton of frats have tried to buy it bc it’s prime and spe nats never let anyone else have it

The alumni own the house. The alumni were total hard core partiers even going back to the early part of last century. The national can't get a colony going because they are ignoring alumni kids and other feeders. The house was fully renovated using the financial and legal brain power of the alumni and their easy cash. They will rent to the sororities until the national wakes up. They have all the time in the world and use the house for parties on big weekends.

why doesnt the local alumni chapter just disaffiliate from SPE nationals and run it on their own?
