Sorority Informal Rush

assuming informal even happens, chapters usually don’t publicize it until classes start. it will be on the ISC website. a few chapters who don’t want the “stigma” of informal will sometimes take a couple girls (looking at you, AXO) in the fall and not publish it, but if you’re in consideration to get a bid from those chapters, you’d know.


that being said, who knows if it will even happen. on one hand, there’s no way to do it in person. on the other, i wouldn’t be surprised if many chapters are suffering from people dropping (whether bc of online schooling or the attention to systemic problems in greek life) and need more members. informal is based entirely on quotas set by the ISC and the chapter’s nationals, so it will depend on their numbers in the fall

It’s uncertain how Informal would work this fall. In the past, I would’ve said you can casually mention to friends that you’re interested now and at the start of the semester. Bugging them about it too much or contacting girls you barely know will come off as annoying so I’d avoid that. Some sororities MAY have an idea if they’re doing it or not now, but nothing is certain till first or second week in the fall I would say
