I know a handful go to the same new england schools, but seriously it seems like even rich people from the midwest or west coast know all of them too? they all room together and rush the same places? if youre rich, how do you know someone is rich enough for u

its lowkey things that rich people pick up on and then all latch on to one another. talking about what they did over break, lake/beach/mountain houses, wearing expensive stuff, talking about private schools, spending a lot of money out at bars, all these things allude to wealth and people pick up on it

Rich is a relative term. The average family income of a UVA student is higher than most colleges in the country. Of course, there are much wealthier student bodies found at some academically comparable private institutions. Within UVA, diversity of family income does exist. "Rich" UVA students understand their own lifestyle and tend to have a feel for picking up which people share in that lifestyle.
