frat "rush"

The fraternity rush process at UVA is a complete joke. There is absolutely no possible way that there is any sort of fair assessment in the process as it is currently structured. There is no way you can you go to so many houses to so few in such a short period of time without people going on anything but superficial details. Combine that with the fact that fraternities have basically become irrelevant on grounds given all the restrictions over the past few years and you are better off just skipping the process, unless you like the idea of a rush process that consists of standing around eating cold, greasy Taco Bell tacos on “Taco Tuesday” and talking to a bunch of dudes with unjustifiably inflated egos and listen to how great they are before they turn around and make you their man-slave for the next semester. For people as smart as those that get into UVA, surprised people fall for this crap.
