girls who pay their own dues, is it worth it?

by: sororityty

I accepted a bid from my top choice (upper mid tier) sorority sunday and I‘m obsessed with my new sisters. I’m paying my own dues because my parents won’t and even though I can afford it i’m having cold feet because it is a lot of money. so girls who pay their own dues: between sisterhood, social and philanthropy events, the house and other perks, is your sorority worth the money?

I'm paying my own pledge fees and dues too, without family support, but it's totally worth it, even if it doesn't sometimes seem worth it while working the late night shift at the I-95Hooters

It’s honestly worth it. I know a lot of people paying their own dues. When the cost is spread over the whole semester it’s really not that much. Just make sure to request off weekends because it really sucks missing events for work

Sounds like it’s worth it now. When it’s no longer worth it then drop. A lot of girls drop when they realize how much money it costs. Dues are just the beginning.
