sorority rush??

Sororities preferring pnm's they have already gotten to know, or are somehow connected with like being from the same school or someone's friend's younger sister or a girl they met at a party or in class, or whatever, is not dirty rushing. Nor is inviting them out or doing things with them before recruitment. It is just one advantage of many that a pnm could have, like being a legacy to the chapter or a super gorgeous and put-together girl or having a stand-out personality, or whatever a chapter values. Now, if a sorority member flat-out tells a pnm "You are getting a bid" then that is bid promising and is definitely dirty rushing. But it has to be pretty much those exact words, so it is not dirty rushing to say "we really love you" or "we hope you come back" or "I can see you as a member" or "I want you for my little". If you hear any of that you shouldn't necessarily believe it because no one member speaks for their house, but it's still not bid promising. Other dirty rushing is when members ask what houses you like or went back to during recruitment, if you are a legacy anywhere, talking about other sororities especially in
a derogatory way, hotboxing (ganging up on a pnm during a recruitment party or taking her off to another room to put pressure on her) and breaking the no-contact rule during recruitment - a huge one. So don't go calling dirty rushing because you don't have connections; you can't do anything about it so just focus on what you can control. You can look your best and have good conversations and be open-minded to going Greek where you are wanted. Attitude goes a long way in rush success.
