pnm question about prefs

If you make it to prefs with 2 sororities, are you guaranteed a bid? Heard mixed things about this.

Yes as long as you “maximize your options” (say you’ll accept a bid from either) instead of suicide bidding

You are guaranteed a bid if you rank both pref houses on your card, but not necessarily a bid from your first choice. If you are only invited to one pref and put that house on your card then you will get that bid. If you attend two prefs and only put one on your card (suiciding) you are not guaranteed a bid. If you receive a bid during formal recruitment and decline it, or accept it and then drop, you are not eligible for another bid for a full year from the time the bid was issued.
