cobs or snaps after being dropped after house tours?

by:

So It’s Pref day and my fav sorority dropped me yesterday. I was kind of shocked because the president even introduced herself to me and I had great conversations with a group of girls all at once. I’m left with a sorority I kind of like and one I definitely don’t. Obviously I’ll wait and see what happens today, but if I suicide bid for the one I like and don’t get it, am I ineligible for COBs or snap bids from my fav? Just would like to know more about how this works and my chances thanks

That’s a tough one. If you suicide you’ll probably match and then your favorite will be giving out snap bids and you’ll be bummed.

But how common our snap bids? When would we find out we get them?

More common than you think.

I had a similar situation when I rushed and I would suicide. If you rank 2 houses you are guaranteed a bid to one of those houses and if it is the house you don't like and you want to drop you have to wait a year before COBing or rushing again. If you definitely don't want to be in one house, don't put it. My pi chi said that you need to think about would you want to be in that house or rather not be in greek life. That is a bit extreme since you could COB or rush again, but definitely a way to think about it.

Good luck!

That’s a common pi chi tactic. I call bs. If you drop and still want Greek life you will get Greek life. If you can be patient.
