coaches?
by: starI think some girls do get coaches. There was an article in the New York Times in 2012 titled "Pledge Prep, Prepping Students for Sorority Rush". UVA was highlighted. I think the girls who do have coaches don't talk ever about it. I hate to say it but your friends are also your competition. There are only so many spots in each sorority and everyone wants to get in a good one. It's a weird, stressful time. Not so much if you're content if you're above playing the status game. Good luck!

Girls shouldn't be allowed to get rush coaches. It completely takes away the virtue of "being yourself" and competing on that basis. If you get into a sorority for who you faked being rather than who you are, you shouldn't be in that sorority and will soon find out you are not that similar to your "sisters."
ISC should ban anyone who uses a coach.

Can you not dress yourself properly and make sociable conversation with others? Do you not know how to present yourself for making a favorable impression to show that you know how to be a polished, pleasant, and fun-loving young woman who would be an asset to a group of others who are like-minded? Please!
