This is a significantly longer list than past years, but I'm sure most of these will not be having open events or anything like that. Places like Tri Delt and Theta will only be considering the girls they already know and have been talking to. KD, SK, and Gamma Phi will probably be having open events and be more willing to meet new girls as they're probably having more of a numbers problem. Just reach out to anyone you know to show interest!! All great options

^ True! But I sure the other houses "Thoughts" mentioned are pretty open to new members they don't know super well yet!! Just reach out to anyone you know/let the ISC know you're interested

I think a lot of us are internally. Top tier aside, people are judging the houses for participating in informal this year

I really wish that stigma would abate. Sororities feel a huge push from their nationals to get their numbers up. I don't think doing informal rush has a thing to do with whether a house is a good fit for a PNM or not. I also think it's a great option for transfer students. I'm glad chapters are taking advantage of it.

Being able to recruit your full quota and retain most of your members doesn't seem like an unfair measure of quality. Likewise, not being able to recruit your full quota through formal and having to resort to snap bids and/or COB and then showing member loss and attrition doesn't seem to be stigma but good data.

Having active members complete their bachelors degree in less than 3 years can bring a chapter below total. Having active members fail to graduate on time, and stay for extra semesters can keep a chapter at total. So the "good data" referenced does not equate with chapter quality.

EVERY house falls below total sometimes. Graduations, internships, studies abroad are the prevailing reasons. It is a real smart thing for a chapter to pick up a few new members before recruitment. Some houses just do it on the DL without an announcement, so you won't even know about it.
