rushing as a 3rd year

Hi all. I know it’s finals season but had a quick question. I transferred here this year as a sophomore (2nd year i guess) and thought about rushing in the spring, but missed the deadline as well as my chance. I was in greek life at my old school but my fraternity’s uva chapter has been kicked off for some time. I haven’t really been able to find a group of close friends like I had before so I was thinking about rushing next year but was not sure if it would even be worth it as a 3rd year. What do you guys think? And is there informal rush or anything in the fall? Thanks

some frats will do informal rush, but mostly ‘bottom’ tier ones. I’m dating a guy in a bottom frat and they took a couple of third years in the fall so it’s definitely possible if you’re open minded.

No informal rush for most, but will take 3rd years

Can you go through rush again if you are an initiated member of a frat at your previous school?

Yes, I would have to sign some forms to drop my letters but it's doable I believe
