2nd year fraternity bids question

How does bid day work for 2nd year guys who receive a bid and live off-grounds? I know the brothers all go around grounds to dorms, but what about those not in dorms?

dorms don't open for 1st year bids until 11:30ish, so fraternities will normally give bids to 2nd years before that time and then walk over to dorms
