pledging fraternity - time commitment ?

So if I receive an bid I plan on pledging. My question is, will I have time to get my work done during pledging ? How time consuming is it exactly, will I be able to visit home every other weekend ? Pertaining to fraternity pledging

It's time consuming, especially on the weekends, which is the fraternities' nice way of not messing with your academics during the week.

If you have to go home every other weekend because you're ovulating or whatever, maybe fraternity life isn't for you right now.
