new sororities

I know it’s early but does anyone know if any new sorority chapters are supposed to come in the fall for informal rush for PNM's who are second year and above?

No, no new chapters are coming in the Fall; UVA is not open for expansion.

PNM's need more options and better options. Too many girls who don't match and never join a sorority. How can we get new sororities to come to UVA to expand the greek community?

Not until current chapters reach quota every year. Why would you say an ISC sorority at UVA is not a good enough option for you? Join one with your friends then and make it better.

Don’t all sororitys meet quota? There were some that were nice but I didn’t really fit in.

Get some friends together and join one doing COBs. If all get above NATIONAL quota, it’ll be easier to bring new ones in future years

ISC offers only a fixed number options. If PNM's want a new "flavor" then they should be able to pick one.

AXO acts like a "new" sorority... fun, funny, feminist... like a new sorority for women who don't like stereotypes of Southern virgin womanhood - or Mean Girl ranks.

So they have house and history at UVA and alumni... without all of that other negative baggage

Compared to the SEC, the sororitys here are smaller (lol... not 700 people) because the actual houses are houses, not mega mansion dorms, and bc the UVA sororitys like the smaller size PCs to get know people. Also UVA OFSL is trying to choke out greek life with conduct reports and sanctions
