transfer pledge no connections

If I get in I wanna rush next semester. The problem is I'm going in with no connections. IDK anyone from my high school or anywhere that goes to uva and rushed.
Is it typical for a transfer to rush and get a bid?

Best bet is to join clubs an activities on campus and try to meet as many people as possible before rush

yes transferred in, knew absolutely no one going into rush except some random dude who was rushing with me and I got a bid at a upper mid fraternity and another at a mid. Just go to rush and be social and not annoying
