why are there so many frats

.i just got into UVA as an athlete and how the hell do all these frats share the few sororities here

well it's probably because women aren't objects that can be owned so they aren't shared

UVA did not admit women until 1970. Almost all of the fraternities were here long before 1970. There are fewer sororities at UVA but the sororities have twice as many members as the fraternities.

sorority pc's are much larger than fraternity pc's. most frats take around 20 guys, but sororitys take around 50 girls.
