brown vs uva? gimme your wisdom, please
by: '18I'm from nw DC and love Uva (parents are alums) but also really love brown -- but I've spent far more time at Uva than just a visit to Brown. No disrespect to Uva but is it a no brainer to go to Brown if I get in? thank you.

That is actually why I didn't apply to an Ivy. I probably could have gotten into a couple of them, but I did not want to go to one. I think my dad might have insisted that it was worth the money and tried to talk me into going to one. I couldn't have cared less about the status though and dislike much of the arrogance and liberal views of most of the kids I know at the Ivies. Did not want the stress, pricetag, or weather either!

Yeah, yeah you and every other frat rat got into vandy and duke and came here anyways. Anyways, either way, if you get into an Ivy you make it happen. Life changing. Uva is solid, but it isn't going to change anyone's life.
