rushing as a second year
by: curiousLast year I rushed and ended up dropping because in my remaining choices I didn't find a house that I felt was the right fit for me. I know and am friendly with at least a few girls (3+) in each sorority, more in some than others, but I wouldn't say all of my friends are in the same sorority. is it worth it to rush again? I wouldn't be devastated if I ended up dropping again, but I would also be really excited to be in greek life. I know some people say you shouldn't rush again if you don't feel like you're guaranteed a bid, but I'm wondering if it seems like something I should do

If you really want to join greek life then definitely rush again. First look into informal rush. Are any of your friends in sororities that are participating in informal and if so are you interested in any of those sororities? You'd be joining a sorority that much sooner and will only be competing against other second years (some older i guess too). As for formal, express your interest to your friends in the sororities you might want to join and see if you can meet more girls in those sororities without seeming desperate. The more girls you know the better
