These numbers are false and mean nothing to anyone. PNM's, be patient. You'll find out who's doing informal before it starts. Thats all that matters

AXO will take some new members but won't do a full, open, informal rush because they already have selected a short list of candidates. It will be dinners and get togethers at the house.

Sororities don't do informal rush to get just five new members. Instead they recruit people they already know, friends of multiple sisters, etc. They don't do "open" events to get just five people.

FYI, im my house's computer chair and its all about how each chapter's size compares to the average chapter size of the entire ISC. So if you're under the average size you can give bids to as many girls as you want as long as it doesn't bring you above the average. So like if the average is 130 in the fall and a house has 135, they aren't allowed to do it but if you have 125 you can give 1-5 and if you have 120 you can give 10. And chapters won't even know if/how many bids they can give out until at least the end of September.

All houses occasionally go under total. Usually it's because there's a graduation rate bubble, or more girls taking an internship or a study abroad. This brings chapter total down from time to time in every house. It has nothing to do with a house's success in recruitment or girls dropping out and does not "look bad" if a house is under. It's actually a smart strategy to COB and get girls they already know they want. A chapter can fill a few spots with some great girls who might not have rushed last time or dropped out of recruitment early and not have to wait for formal recruitment. Chapters are smart to take advantage of the opportunity.

Look, if you are NOT a freshman and NOT a transfer, meaning you attended here last year and you personally know girls in a sorority, then you could be eligible for a bid in the fall. If there is a house you are interested in then reach out to the members you know and TELL THEM. That is the only way this works; IF they already know you, IF they know you are interested, and IF they even have a few bids they want to offer. Informal is a very selective process, for insiders only, completely at the discretion of individual chapters - not Panhellenic. It is NOT a mini formal recruitment.

That's not really true. There's info available about informal recruitment from last year on the ISC website. You just have to fill out a form to participate.

Transfers can fill out the form but that doesn't mean they will garner interest from the sororities participating. It's harder to get a bid in informal when you don't already know anyone in a chapter. Plus, the numbers to fill are quite low and chapters don't have to fill them at all just to get bodies...

I'm an incoming freshman with a lot of AP credits and transfer credits from college courses I took in high school so I'm able to do informal rush. What are some of the best sororities for women who can graduate in three years (might stay for 4 to do a masters)?

Regardless of how many credits you have, if you're a first year at UVA you can't do informal.

If you're a transfer student or a second year or above you can do informal rush. If you're a first year (like @just me says she is) then you can't.
