If I come from out of state do I have a chance at Pi Phi/ Tri Delt, KKG, or Theta? I am a legacy to one of those if it matters. Not to be snooty but, I am fairly attractive and fairly wealthy. I would probably be able to pledge a top sorority in my state.
Last question.....where should I live? Any tips for anything else.

You don't get to choose where you live first year...so don't worry about it.
If you don't know anyone in those sororities AT UVA right now probably not. Pi phi maybe. But they're very different than the other three.
Seriously like UVA is 30% Greek and being in any sorority that's not bottom is considered prestigious and "good." Don't try and pick a sorority from rankings or this websites.

If you dont know anyone in any of those sororities right now then it's going to be difficult to find your way in, like the girl above me has said maybe Pi Phi but you would want to check them out first to see if you'd like them. Most gurls in these sororities are from out of state, so that in particular wont hurt. One thing I've noticed is that it normally bodes well for girls who are friends with guys being dirty rushed by top-tier frats, thats impossible to really predict though.

Unless you network like crazy your first semester you have really no chance of getting top tier. Uva greek life is probably different from your in-state school in that your wealth and looks don't really do very much for you. It's all about connections here & coming from out of state you probably won't have many. But as mentioned above, any sorority here is great. The top tiers here are also very different from those at other schools, so you may not fit with them anyway even tho you think you should.
