informal recruitment for a transfer

Hey guys! So I wanted to know what informal rush would be like for a transfer student. I'm coming in as a second year and I want to join a sorority but how competitive is it/ what sororities are planning on doing fall rush?? Do i need to know people to get bids or do you think your fine rushing without having connections?

Does anyone know how informal fraternity rush is and how hard it would be for me, an out-of-state transfer (would be a sophomore this fall) with no connections?

Also, do the top tier fraternities do informal rush in the fall or is it more like the bottom ones?
