Can someone who's done informal explain a little bit about the process? Is it really as "relaxed" as they say? Also, how likely am I to get a bid?

Formal rush is about going to house where you know nobody. Informal is the opposite.

I heard some houses hold open events and others invite a few girls they know. How did it work fall 2018? like which houses did it and what did they do?

almost every house (i think it was 14 out of 15) was eligible to do informal rush, but gamma phi was the only house that had an open event. the rest had smaller events with girls recommended by current members, or just gave bids to girls they already knew they wanted. so if you want a bid from a particular house during informal, you really need to know someone in that house and make sure they know you want an invite.

Thoughts on fall rush? Is it worth it or is better to just rush in the spring? What’s different about it, are you at a disadvantage?
