That's why the school administration requires rush in the spring rather than the Fall. If it were in the Fall, then they would loose more students (and their tuition money and their room rents) through transfers. Happens all the time at other schools. The whole "acclimation" rationale is a smokescreen.

sry i disagree.....give it your all for the last semester. Sometimes it will work one of 2 ways:
1. all your friends are in the same sorority (and you still get invited to go to their events, etc.) you're close enough that you think you can rush again, and you will be able to know so many girls you can join their sorority.
2. Your friends and you have been majorly distant. In this case, things are going to get worse. Which I would suggest leaving.
I've known a 2nd year who rushed and joined a top tier (keep in mind all her friends were in that sorority), I also know 2-3 girls who transferred because nothing is getting better.
