Good question. People don't really know they just like to toot their own horns and seek validation by posting about it here

obviously nobody knows everything, but it's not hard to get some ideas. For example if your fraternity cross rushes with certain other ones and you got a lot of the kids you wanted or you didn't then you can make a loose assumption about how the others did. Additionally, friends who tell you how excited they are for their new pc vs friends who just say it went fine or well and stuff. Everyone should take these posts with a grain of salt
