Upper tiers tend to give snap bids, lower tiers COBs. I'm sorry things aren't working out. Truly, a lot of girls get cut or drop out. It's a brutal process.

Houses whose new pledge classes do not make quota will give out "snap bids" almost immediately. COBs are given out typically in the weeks after bid day if the chapter needs more girls to account for deactivations/transfers/early graduation, etc. It's impossible to know who will be giving them out except the bottom tiers which almost always do

Tri Delt loses more 4th years than most sororities, so the pledge class will be larger this year.

AXO did surprisingly well. ADPi did only ok... Chi O stole some. GPB on the upswing. SSS to do COB until they hit their target.

If I dropout now before opening the bid card, I can still accept a snap bid or a COB, right?

Opening the bid card is the commitment. Talk to your pi chi

My younger sister is in a "mid-tier" sorority according to this site. Her room-mate first year almost dropped in this round (prefs) because her call backs were "lower" tiers. They were both dropped from their initial favorites early on. You know what? Their Facebook pages are filled with pictures of them loving life in their sororities. They aren't in the "top" sororities but are having a great time, making great friends, and couldn't be happier. A second year girl we know from our neighborhood dropped when she didn't get a call back to the house she really wanted last year and regretted it later; she's rushing again with an open mind. Do you care more about the letters on a t-shirt or about having fun and making friends? Don't let this site dissuade you from joining the sorority that wants you. It's a little like college searches- you land where you're meant to be. At least that's how I saw it when I was an undergrad. Good luck! Trust your gut, not this website.

Give it a rest with the recruitment for bottom tiers. It's over, today is bid day. EVERYONE posts pictures on Facebook of themselves "loving life" but that doesn't mean anything. Maybe, just maybe, not getting in a sorority means life as a GDI takes on a new dimension. Time and money are precious commodities, use them wisely. Maybe tell girls that life will go on instead of trying to convince them to join a sorority that didn't feel right.

How sad are you that you choose to prey on girls at a vulnerable time in their lives. Life is not lived on Facebook, no hate, just pointing that out.
