do all the girls in the house wear one color that PNMs should avoid like black or something??
DO NOT tell me to ask my coach. i HAVE asked her and she says she doesn't know if this is true at UVA or not.

Off the top of my head I think every house just wears all black (my house included) but you certainly won't be viewed negatively if you wear black too! Prefs is a round that's more about making the PNM feel welcome and let them find their fit, not so much about making cuts anymore, although it can happen depending on the house.
The point is, wear what makes you feel comfortable and confident!

I think almost every sorority wears black because they want to be uniform in a color that is pretty standard and simple. chapters want the focus of the round to be on the conversations than what they are wearing. So it can be overwhelming for the PNMs if they all wore patterns or like a bright and bold color since ALL the girls in a chapter will be wearing the same thing. I wore like a pale pink dress and other girls were wearing red, grey, green, navy so the color DOES NOT MATTER and you WILL NOT be looked down upon if you end up wearing the same thing as them. so wear a dress you feel comfortable in and that is semi formal appropriate. take it from me, i assure you the color is the least of your worries

I am worried that wearing black will make me look too skinny.
