gpa for sorority rush

do most sororities stick to the minimums they put in the handbook or are those formalities? is like a 2.9-3.0 ish good enough for any sorority or are there some where that wouldn't be high enough

some sororities care, but i know for a fact that some honestly overlook their gpa requirement...
As long as you fall above their requirement you are fine.

I can only speak to the policy in my own sorority, but for us the GPA is a cutoff from our nationals that we can't ignore. If you're below that, you'll be cut after round robbins, but as long as you're above, it doesn't matter how far over. I think a 2.9-3.0 should be above the cutoff for every sorority so you should be fine.

For the majority of sororities its 2.5. And only a few sororities really care.

My coach said that a low GPA wouldn't be a deal buster if there were other multiple positive factors outweighing that single negative.
