pms: the truth of being in a top sororoity

So I've recently graduated and have been wanting to post for a while. I'm in a top 3 sorority (not going to say which one) and while I have made so many friends, have great memories and have had a positive experience, I can definitely say being at the 'top' isn't exactly the best.
While it's definitely fun and awesome to be ranked the highest, people have judged me before and made assumptions because I'm in the top. My guy friends from first year are at the bottom of the frat rank, and most of my sisters don't really acknowledge them or encourage me to be friends them, or even other girls from lower ranked sororities. I love my sorority and have had a blast, but being at the top can be confining. Just remember: ranks aren't everything. Really pick and choose on what you want and what you're looking for. My best friend was in a middle tier, and was far happier than I ever was (and some of my sisters)
Disclaimer: I have loved my sorority and this is NOT to bash the top 3. All 3 of them are really amazing. Plenty of girls absolutely adore being in them!
It's just a reminder of what's actually important :)

Thank you for giving this insight! I think it's really important that someone who has actually experienced being in a "top tier" sorority talks about the experience. So many girls, if given the opportunity, would join one of the sororities that are ranked higher just for the "prestige"...but so many of them would end up unhappy! So PNM's who are reading this, stop paying attention to how other people rank the sororities. The most important thing is that you find the sorority that best fits your personality!
