Most of the Old Row organizations are getting removed slowly but surely. All the new cats on campus are lame as hell too, honestly going greek at UNM is not worth it. Would be totally sweet at a large school but it's just like high school all over again here. Rushing was fun my freshman year so if you're for sure going to do it be sure to hop in your freshman year.

Going into my 5th year at UNM and Greek life I am sad to see the state of what it is now. My first two years at UNM, Greek life was great, everyone was friends, all went to events, all had fun with each other while still maintaining the natural rivalries. As of this year I still don't know what happened, it seems like nobody really cares anymore. UNM tries to not be a "party school" but that's a good reason why many larger schools have great enrollment, kids want to rage. Now everyone is afraid to even have a beer, much less throw a party from fear that the GLO will come down with the vengeance of God. Will it ever change? Who knows, but I hope that for the sake of this school and the future of all Greek organizations on this campus that it does, and soon.
