Sort of, if the sorority has an event and needs “sober sisters” (sisters who are designated to be sober for safety reasons) the new members are usually the first ones they ask because almost all of them are under 21 anyways. It makes more sense to do it like that than to ask someone who is actually 21 to be sober at an event. That said, it’s usually volunteer based and you might get merit points or something for doing it depending on how each sorority does it. They won’t make you be the sober sister but they will appreciate it if you step up to the plate. Any sorority will tell you though that you should not have ANY pictures of underage drinking on your social media especially if you plan to rush (for legal reasons obviously) and no sisters or new members can drink in the sorority’s letters.
