societies??

So I know a lot of other schools have secret societies in addition to Greek life but does unh have any/ does anyone know how we can get interviewed by them? I read that there was one called Socratic society but based on what I’ve seen I’m not sure if that’s really the same thing as what I’m talking about so any info would be appreciated! Also I know this question might sound dumb since tap day for most universities is over but I’m transferring in for this fall and I was really curious!

there are no secret societies at UNH...also we do not have tap day. i have never heard of it and i doubt anyone else has. sorry! hope this helped! joining greek life is a much better bet than a society though.

When I was a freshman there was one but I don’t know how serious it was or if it’s still around because I don’t hear about it anymore. Basically people used to have to leave them notes at certain places to get their attention and it went from there

Socratic society is definitely not a secret society. There is not one here- sorry. We also don’t have a tap day due to the fact there are no secret societies.

@anon, I’m assuming that you were not referring to Socratic since they are public. If you want to contact secret societies you can try leave a message if you know how, or talk to a member if you think you know one. Otherwise your guess is as good as mine about how to contact them directly because they don’t make public statements.

Senior Key is one, a rendition of the former senior societies Senior Skulls and Blue Key. Lots of info in the archives definitely go look around if you’re interested.

Senior Key was a merger, not exactly a rendition, but the merger is moot at this point anyways. There’s a handful of you who seem to enjoy taking long trips to the archives so I’ll be excited to see which one of you figures out the m.o.c first. Only a few months left until tap day- best of luck.
