Not what it used to be five years ago

The greek life at this campus has gone downhill recently, with most of the big houses being suspended and only like three major frats have official houses, the rest of the frats here are mostly scattered or use satellites. It's alright, but not as good as it was a few years back

Greek life here is awesome. Bigger problematic fraternities recently got kicked off but newer ones are already filling the void, and sororities are as strong as ever. Hazing is definitely prevalent in fraternities, very very rare in sororities. In frats it can get bad. Just follow your gut and the vibe at rush week, wherever you feel comfortable being yourself you will be able to handle. Go Greek!!

Definitely do Greek life! sororities do not haze but same cant be said about frats but that's just normal. it is a wonderful experience that i think everyone should try if they can. you never know what it is like until you're in it and the ones that hate it never gave it a shot. it is an experience you cannot get anywhere else. also if you are older or just didn't rush freshman year... don't let that stop you! it's never too late

If you're going to the University of Nevada and you're considering Greek Life, you should do it. This campus has been very progressive recently about their push for Greek Unity and it's the best way to get involved. Greek Life is very competitive which brings the best out in all of us. And most people in leadership positions on this campus are in Greek Life!
