You should still go to a Zeta event and meet the girls. The incident in question did not involve the whole chapter or even a large group of sisters. It was a single person. Honestly, I applaud ZTA for putting out a public statement and saying it will be dealt with, instead of trying to hide from the problem. Sending you all the best vibes for spring rush!
