opinion on recruitment

by: Ksmith

I am interested in going through recruitment in the fall. I will be a sophomore but have hesitations about rushing because I'll be 21. would someone who is in a sorority at U of M would give me their opinion on if rushing would still be just as good of an experience even being a little older than most PNMs? also, could being a little older potentially be a reason a sorority would cut a PNM during recruitment? I know there are no rules regarding age limits but I am just curious to see what someone who has rushed thinks!

Girl go for it! Having a good GPA is one of the first requirements so as long as your grades are fine than seriously try it. Being older will not seriously hurt you with in sororities and you will find the sisterhood who totally supports and loves you despite age!

Go for it, but in my opinion it could potentially cause you to get cut from some of the houses!

You'll only get a bid from ADPi or DG

^^^As someone who rushed as a sophomore this was my personal experience too and the pattern I witnessed with other sophomore rushes

Girl go for it! I didn't rush till last year (I was a junior) I found my home and still love it! You can always do spring COB (continuous open bidding) recruitment too! Don't be scared cause of your age I was 22, age is just a number!
