bad rush
by: no more panWhoever is in charge this year did an awful job at planning and organizing rush. If you know there is more girls from last year why not accept more girls and make the chapters bigger? There is no reason to cut people just include more girls. Half of the freshman girls who rushed dropped and now no one wants to go greek

As a pnm I was super excited to get involved and help both on and off campus, I was cut from everything except the house I cut every night. It all comes down to legacies and who you know. Wish it wasn't like that. Myself and other girls, were interested in making a difference on campus but looks like that won't be happening in the greek system.

This is actually not the case...
Some chapters are not allowed to drop legacies due to National requirements. Also it is not easy to just make a chapter bigger. Nationals set a quota for a certain Chapter at Memphis and they must meet quota but cannot exceed far beyond that number. Memphis sororities took in the normal number of pledges as in years prior (some actually a lower number). I know GREAT girls who received bids to all different houses at U of M.

I find it funny that some girls will not continue if they are dropped by everyone with the exception of DG. Being in a different chapter and seeing them from afar, they are an amazing house. Beautiful girls and a strong sisterhood. If you get dropped by everyone but DG, chances are you're supposed to be a Dg. Why run from that? Even if it's other low ranked sororities like ADPi or Sigma K, try to trust the system and you'll be shocked at what you discover. In my opinion, girls that drop when they don't get what they originally wanted don't belong in Greek life anyways.
