University of Memphis - UM 2.8 the university is ruining greek life here. frankly they could care less if it existed or not, just as long as it’s not a problem for them. they’ve strangled every ounce of fun out of greek life aside from banning it entirely. students all wish the administration would wake up and allow greek life to breathe again, especially if they plan on continuing to expand the university. if they want to contend with any other big school, a good greek scene is a necessity.

University of Memphis - UM 3.0 From what I have seen, The sororities are competitive and are good looking. They compete when it comes to social standings. The fraternities however seem pretty worthless. There might be 1 or 2 ok ones, but there are not that many and all pretty small.

University of Memphis - UM 3.5 I'm a member of a Pan sorority and a transfer to U of M. From what I've heard from other transfers and my personal experience, the Pan community is much more supportive and friendly to each other than a lot of other schools. It's rare for two sororities to compete against each other and while we tend to gossip about other sororities, we're still open to friendships despite being in another sorority.

University of Memphis - UM 2.0 I was in Pi Phi for a year and got sick of it and dropped. Almost my entire pc went early alum or dropped. That’s why they had like 9 seniors. It’s all smoke and mirrors. There is no “top tier” anything, there’s 7 sororities and like 4 fraternities still on campus. Greek life is a joke. There are no parties anymore. When I joined, it was a big deal to be either phi mu pi phi or kd. Now it seems like anyone gets in anywhere. What a joke and waste of money

University of Memphis - UM 4.5 UofM Greek life is one of the best in the nation when it comes down to truly valuing Fraternities and Sororities for what they should be doing on college campuses. Greek chapters nationwide should be focusing on academics, community service, leadership, and membership development - all things UofM chapters are recognized for on a national level. Don't listen to the reviews below that tell you nothing about what Greek life really is about.

University of Memphis - UM 2.3 Greek life at Memphis is relatively small, for the most part everyone knows everyone which can be a great thing but also bad as once can assume. We don't have ragers every weekend or anything like that but when parties happen everyone goes but they typically only last till 1am which is lame when you typically don't even get there till midnight. Greek life is what you make of it here
