pike vs theta?

Definitely the two top fraternities at umass. As to who's better- different people would say different things. Pikes the only fraternity that kappa really likes, and overall does better with girls/is most socially preferred. Theta has a MUCH better house and can throw bigger parties, also let guys who aren't in fraternities into parties which pike doesn't.

They're different- theta chi guys are nice to guys who aren't in fraternities and have a big house, pike guys party harder and do better with girls

Only two legitimate fraternities at umass- who u like better is really personal preference. Both better than any other fraternity

I've had the opportunity to rush both houses this past semester and go to their parties. I didn't choose either so I'm not biased, it's hard to pledge when u play club sports. But to end the debate it's pretty simple: pike has the reputation for being best house, but theta has been growing exponentially since I got here two years ago. I think it's still hard to say whose better, but it's kinda cool to finally see that there is actually competition within Greek life. Even TKE and AEPi are pretty dope. I think if this rivalry keeps going it'll only benefit these houses to strive to be better, and goes to show that any house can step up and get in the game. I'll probably rush in the spring

I think it's becoming pretty well known that theta is better now. They're just more fun to socialize with and create a better party atmosphere. They're also a lot nicer and more respectful. Pike just isn't recruiting like they used to, the younger guys aren't cool or fun to hang out with. Our mixers with them aren't nearly as fun as they used to be. Just being honest. I think the majority of other sorority girls will agree with me on this.

i fully disagree, it is well known theta sucks to mix with. im in a sorority and a bunch of my friends in other sororities agree the theta brothers just arent fun at all

i prefer theta because honestly it seems less sketchy to me than pike...so if you want girls to be less scared/weary around you theta might be a better option lol
