theyve been declining in popularity for years and use the guise of "jealousy" to cover it, yes they are still hot and may remain hot but they are as superficial and shallow as it gets and thus most people have a distate for them.. which the girls in kkg confuse for being jealous, it also doesnt help that the vast majority of them seem to be just plain rude and unpleasant to be around

I'm in a different sorority and I wouldn't say kappa is falling in rank. They are #1, the most exclusive and beautiful with the best house. They just represent different values than some of the other chapters do (superficiality, cliqueyness, wealth) which turns a lot of pnms off. Definitely not every girl in kappa has those qualities. One of the sweetest girls I know is in kappa. But at UMass, where Greek life is pretty lowkey, the qualities most valued in a sorority are different than what you'd expect, and kappa isn't perceived as having those qualities by a lot of people in other chapters and outside Greek life.

Kappa has not fallen, however other sororities (sk) are on the rise so kappa is not the sole house on top anymore. Although sk is catching up kappa will never fall from the top basically because they have hot girls the best house and the main reason is they are the most well known chayote outside of greeklife which will keep them as a top tier.

Kappa is still the hottest sorority and honestly a lot of the stereotypes aren't true either they are some of the most fun girls to party with. The problem with kappa is that Greek life at umass is very much on the rise from a few years back, yet kappa chooses to spend more time hanging out with athletes, GDIs and Amherst college. Top frats and middle top frats are tired of putting so much effort into pleasing kappa (they need to be the center of attention) when it leads to low results in terms of both friendship and hooking up. They would prefer an SK or SDT who still have a lot of hot girls but are looking for fraternity guys to be their close friends and the guys the hook up with.
