With a lettered house they throw big parties, but from my time there the engagement and brotherhood is not as close as you'd think. With over ninety brothers and a need to pack the house and fill chapter quotas, often times character and self-improvement are put on hold. Many are from NY and can be the archetypal "guidos." They do well with girls, but place a high value on materialism and not on connecting with others and especially women.

As someone who isn't in Greek Life but casually enjoys going to a party or two, this fraternity is something special. If I were to be in one, I'd choose AEPi at UMass. They have no lettered houses, yet you'd think they have one with how close they are. Brothers are clearly there to have a great time and the fraternity consists of special individuals. They span from across the country, from Cali to NJ and NY to Mass and more. Academically, philanthropically, partying-wise, they're above the rest.

do not go off of the percentage rating that currently puts pi kapp at number 2 below theta chi when you sort umass fraternities by there reviews on this page.... pi kapp is not nearly a top or middle tier fraternity as they are known as the honors fraternity on campus and are simply below average. while they have a nice house they dont even throw down and have a long way to go before they are even top 5-10 at umass. for real rankings go on the discussions section of this website
