so im transferring here in the spring how is social life? bar school? house parties? I'm definitely rushing i figured that would be a good way to get involved since I don't know anyone

A lot of people say UMBC is dead, but you just have to know the right people. Joining a fraternity/sorority can connect you to those people. House parties happen a lot and UMBC is not far from Fed Hill and Fells Point in Baltimore that have some fun bars.

Don't rush just for parties, that's a bad idea. Rush to get brothers/sisters, then the parties that do happen will be more fun.
That being said, if you know the right people it's lit. House parties happen and we're close to Baltimore which has a ton of good areas for going out. Fed hill, fells, inner harbor and power plant.
